LANDSAT SPRING Digital Image Processing

Introduction to the SPRING system.

Image Processing Steps:

1- Georeferencing evaluation;

2- Evaluation of radiometric, geometric, and atmospheric corrections;

3- Enhancement application to obtain contrast in the bands;

4- Generation of color composites using the RGB method;

5- Segmentation by region and by pixel;

6- Selection of land use and vegetation cover patterns;

7- Supervised or semi-supervised classification;

8- Thematic mapping of land use and vegetation cover.
